Our Fleet
Vehicles
All of our vehicles are 32.00 tonne 4-axle tippers and we have now acquired 44.00 tonne articulated tipping vehicle. They are fitted with automatic sheeting systems which enables all loads covered safely from the cab.
Maintainence
All vehicles are subject to regular safety inspections (every 4 to 6 weeks) in accordance with Department of Transport requirements, and are undertaken by our own workshop staff.
In addition to this, a daily check is carried out by the driver of the vehicle and he records this in his daily report book in triplicate; one copy of which is given to the Transport Manager and one to the workshop manager.
Rregular safety inspections, servicing and a rolling Vehicle Replacement Programme provides Mark Luck Ltd with a fleet of vehicles that are able to work safely.
Communication
Handsfree kits are fitted to all vehicles and so, subject to our Mobile Phone Policy Statement, we are able to contact our drivers by phone at anytime.
We are also able to locate the vehicle's whereabouts using Satallite Tracking. This has improved efficiency of our Transport Office and therefore reduced overall fuel consumption.
Livery
All our trucks are painted in our own familiar livery. As an extra touch we have named all our vehicles, with some having drivers names on the cab doors.
Examples of these names are Samson, The Answer, Return of Nicodemas, The Phoenix, Winston Churchill, Simply The Best, Endeavour, Fortune Favours The Brave, Maverick, Long Shanks, Lizzie Louise, Blue Bird, Gone With The Wind, Volcano, Nicodemas II, Blazes, Pegasus, Where There's Muck There's Luck, Northern Lights, Willow The Wisp 2, London Pride, Southern Comfort, Glen Eagles, Hercules, Endurance, Goliath, It's a Kind Of Magic, Daytona, Deliverance, Victory, Renowned, Dreadnought, Excalibur, Olympics and Defiance.
