Mark Luck MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mark is the third generation of the Luck family to lead the company, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who founded it. Raised by his father, Ken, with the clear intention of one day taking over, Mark developed a deep passion for the industry from a young age. Ken ensured Mark had a hands-on understanding of every aspect of the business, from accounts to mechanics, encouraging him to take on apprenticeships and weekend jobs.
At just 15, Mark earned his Transport CPC qualification and joined the company full-time at 17, starting in the workshop. From there, he moved through roles as a fitter, driver, and eventually into the office. When Ken passed away in 2018, Mark took over as Managing Director., going on to earn his WAMITAB licence.
Under his leadership, the company has flourished, expanding the fleet and adding a recycling yard in Swanscombe. Mark is dedicated to continuing this growth and hopes to pass the business to the next generation.
Guy Archbutt DIRECTOR

Guy has been with Mark Luck Ltd from the start, following in the footsteps of his father, Chris, who helped shape the company into what it is today. Growing up surrounded by lorries and the company ethos, Guy's journey began at just 16 when he joined the office team, learning the ins and outs of the transport industry.
At 22, Guy took on a driving role, quickly earning a reputation as a hardworking, dedicated driver who often outperformed his more experienced colleagues. His hands-on experience gave him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by drivers.
By the age of 30, Guy transitioned back into the office with the aim of eventually taking over from his father. He worked alongside Chris and the team while earning his CPC managerial qualification. After Chris's retirement, Guy stepped up as Manager and has since led the company with great success.
Elizabeth Carter DIRECTOR

Elizabeth, known as Lizzie, is a proud member of the Luck family and the daughter of Ken Luck. She began her journey with Mark Luck Ltd in 2004, working in office accounts and administration, where she quickly gained valuable experience.
In 2014, Lizzie achieved her Transport Manager CPC qualification, expanding her role within the company. Over the next decade, she took on additional compliance responsibilities, ensuring all operational standards were met.
After returning from maternity leave in 2018, Lizzie stepped into the role of Head of Compliance, overseeing driver working hours, infringements, and CPC training to ensure regulatory compliance across the company. Later that year, Lizzie was appointed Director of Mark Luck Ltd, continuing her family's legacy and playing a key role in shaping the company’s future.
Jimmy Archbutt TRANSPORT MANAGER

Jimmy joined Mark Luck Ltd in 2001 at just 17, starting in the accounts department where he handled invoicing, admin, and ledgers. After a couple of years, he took time off to travel with Guy, returning in 2010 as a grab driver, delivering and collecting materials.
In 2016, Jimmy earned his CPC Transport Manager qualification, marking a significant milestone in his career. By the age of 21, he had obtained his tipper licence and began driving full-time, gaining invaluable experience on the road.
Jimmy’s journey with the company has seen him evolve into the role of Transport Manager and Sales & Logistics Manager, where he now oversees the planning, coordination, and smooth operation of all transportation activities. His responsibilities include ensuring compliance with road haulage regulations and optimising sales by meeting vehicle earnings targets, ensuring that everything runs efficiently and in line with company goals.
